Our valued client, a busy national litigation firm with offices in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, is seeking a highly motivated and client-focused Employment Litigation Associate to join its growing Alberta practice.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an Alberta lawyer with approximately three to ten years of plaintiff-side civil litigation experience. Previous employment law experience is strongly preferred; however, candidates with solid plaintiff litigation experience and a genuine interest in developing an employment practice are encouraged to apply.

The position may be performed fully remotely from anywhere in Alberta. The firm will also consider candidates residing in British Columbia, provided they are already called to the Alberta Bar and are ready to practice in Alberta. Candidates who prefer an in-office or hybrid arrangement will also have those options.

Key Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Approximately three to ten years of experience as a plaintiff-side civil litigation lawyer;
• Employment law experience or a strong interest in developing expertise in this area;
• An LL.B., J.D. or equivalent legal degree;
• Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• A highly client-focused and compassionate approach;
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across the firm;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Strong organizational and file-management skills; and
• The ability to prioritize competing demands and meet urgent deadlines.

Candidates working remotely must have a stable and reliable home internet connection.
